CASE STUDIES

Bouchiers Hall, Essex
We are proud to present this exceptional project, a stunning extension that perfectly balances traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. The vision was to create a space that respects the historic character of the property while introducing modern functionality and elegance.
The exterior showcases a Pigmento Red Plus VM Zinc roof, complemented by cedar shingle cladding and sliding cedar louvres, creating a warm, natural aesthetic that harmonises beautifully with the original architecture. This thoughtful design ensures the extension feels like a natural evolution of the property rather than an addition.
Inside, the attention to detail continues with a high-end fit-out that includes a stylish boot room, a welcoming family room, and two bedrooms with an adjoining shower room. The interiors are elevated by exquisite parquet flooring, adding timeless sophistication to the space. Beyond the walls, a Millboard jetty extends gracefully over the lake, framed by meticulous landscaping that enhances the tranquil setting.
Delivering this project required a comprehensive scope of works. From piling and groundworks to brickwork and carpentry, every stage was executed with precision. We installed external windows and doors, completed drylining, plastering, and decorative finishes, and managed all electrical, plumbing, and tiling requirements. Scaffolding, rendering, and screeding were also integral to achieving the flawless finish.
This project is a true celebration of quality, detail, and heritage—a testament to how modern design can complement and enhance historic architecture.
Loon Fung Warehouse
Demolition and rebuilding of an existing warehouse with a gross internal floor area of approximately 750m2, along with associated drainage and external works. The warehouse was located adjacent to the employer’s existing facilities where we have also undertaken alterations and upgrades.
To ensure a clean and safe environment during the works, a solid dust-proof hoarding was installed along the internal boundary with the remaining part of the warehouse, which was still in use. This hoarding was maintained throughout the project and adjusted as necessary for the construction of new partition walls. Dust mats were employed to prevent the spread of dirt within the building. Temporary structures, including runways, ramps, and hardstanding areas, were provided and maintained during the works and subsequently removed, with the areas restored upon completion.
The asbestos present in the building primarily consisted of white asbestos (chrysotile), which was used in ceiling sheeting panels across the main warehouse area and adjoining rooms. Additionally, white asbestos was found in the floor tiles that required removal, as well as in a small amount of pipe lagging. During the roof removal process, strict safety protocols were followed to prevent fibre release, including the use of controlled demolition techniques, protective sheeting, and specialised removal procedures. Licensed asbestos removal contractors ensured safe handling and disposal in compliance with regulations, minimising risk to workers and the surrounding environment.
